Hello, I'm KJ!
I’m a 4th-year Electrical Engineering student at the University of British Columbia, with a passion for helping students see math more clearly. I specialize in tutoring Grades 6 to 12 — breaking down complex concepts into simple, intuitive steps.
Currently, I'm researching on AI-powered drone technology for remote healthcare delivery. Outside my studies, I’ve trained for endurance races like Ironman and deeply value discipline, growth, and clear thinking — skills I bring into every tutoring session.

My Story
I was raised in Jakarta, Indonesia 🇮🇩, where I attended the international school GMIS and built lasting memories with classmates and teachers who shaped my love for learning. My parents always emphasized the values of humility, gratitude, and giving back to the community — principles that continue to guide me today. I’ve completed IB Mathematics AA HL, IGCSE, and advanced calculus courses, but I’ve also been the student who once needed support to truly understand those concepts.
That experience inspired me to create Elevana, a tutoring space that’s friendly, personalized, and empowering. Whether it’s algebra, calculus, or building long-term study habits, my goal is to help students feel confident and clear when approaching math. Through 1-on-1 sessions, I aim to contribute meaningfully by helping students not just improve their grades — but learn how to think better, too!

Why I Started Elevana?
Growing up, I saw how many students struggled with math—not because they lacked potential, but because they lacked the right guidance. I’ve always loved breaking down complex ideas into something simple, intuitive, and even enjoyable.
After completing advanced math programs like IB AAHL, Calculus I–III, and competing in Math Olympiads, I wanted to use that experience to help others unlock their own confidence with numbers.
Elevana was born out of that goal—to make math accessible, personal, and genuinely rewarding for students across all levels. Whether you’re catching up or reaching for the top, this platform is built to meet you where you are.
